Delete your StuQuiz account

You can permanently delete your StuQuiz account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains exactly what gets deleted, what we retain (and why), and the two ways to start the deletion process.

This page covers the StuQuiz app (Google Play packagecom.stuquiz.stuquiz_mobile) and the stuquiz.com website, both operated by Stucare Innovation and Creation Private Limited.
1. How to request account deletion
Pick whichever is more convenient - both result in the same deletion.
Option A - Email us
- Send an email from the same email address you registered with to support@stuquiz.com.
- Use the subject line "Delete my account". You don't need to include a reason - a single line saying "Please delete my account" is enough.
- We confirm receipt within 2 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days. A confirmation email is sent once your data has been deleted.
Option B - In-app (mobile)
- Open the StuQuiz mobile app and sign in.
- Go to Profile → Account settings → Delete account.
- Confirm by typing your email address and tapping Permanently delete.
- The deletion is queued and completes within 30 days.
2. What gets deleted
- Your profile (name, email, phone, date of birth, avatar)
- Authentication links (Google / Apple sign-in associations)
- Quiz attempts, scores, and answer history
- Spin wheel results, claimed rewards (where not already fulfilled)
- Challenge participation, daily-streak progress, leaderboard entries
- Push notification tokens (FCM)
- Stored device identifiers used for session management
- StuCoin balance and any in-app virtual currency holdings (these are non-refundable)
3. What is retained (and for how long)
Indian tax law (CGST Act, 2017) and payment-gateway compliance rules require us to keep certain records even after account deletion. We anonymise these records so they cannot be linked back to your identity, but the rows themselves stay.
- Payment transactions (premium purchases, coin bundles, spin packs, challenge entries): retained for 8 years as required by Indian tax law. Personal fields (name, email, phone) are replaced with
[deleted user]. - Withdrawal / payout records: retained for 8 years for financial auditing.
- Aggregated, non-identifying analytics(e.g. "X total quizzes played in May 2026"): retained indefinitely.
- Fraud / abuse logs (only for accounts banned for abuse): retained for 2 years to prevent re-registration.
4. Pending things to settle BEFORE deleting
Once your account is deleted we cannot reverse it. Before requesting deletion, please complete the following if applicable - we cannot move balances or unfulfilled prizes to a new account.
- Cash wallet (StuVault): withdraw any pending balance via UPI. Balances left in a deleted account are forfeited.
- Pending physical prizes (Chromebook, iPhone, etc.): make sure you have submitted a shipping address. We will still ship prizes where the address was provided before deletion.
- Active StuCoin balance: spend it (rewards, premium, redeem codes) before you delete - coins do not have cash value and cannot be refunded.
- Premium subscription: deletion does not refund any unused premium days.
5. Re-registering after deletion
Once your account is deleted, the same email address can be used to create a new account. Note that your previous progress, StuCoins, premium status, and leaderboard ranking will not be restored - the new account starts fresh.
